A LITTLE ABOUT ME

130 Posts

I have been married for 33 years to a wonderful caring man.  I am the mother of two daughters, 32 and 26.  I am also the grandmother of a little boy, age 7 and a little girl, age 6.  Needless to say they are the glue that holds me together.  I also work full time for a construction company that is more like a family than an employer.     My diagnosis is ony a few weeks old and my surgery is on the 29th of January.   We have caught this early through a mammogram so I am going to be strong and I am going to be a survivor.  I have met so many new friends on this site - I can't begin to thank everyone for their wonderful insight into this monster of a disease.

5/21/09   Celebrated Memorial Day Weekend in bed.   Have been exhausted.  No pain this time, no headache, just exhausted.   I get up and clean up a dish or two and change laundry and then I feel wiped again.   Hoping to work tomorrow.  Blood work on Wednesday to see if I will need booster shot....I am so glad I only have one more left.

Hang in there hun, soon, very soon you will be going in for your last chemo.  Your doing great!  I know while i was doing chemo, there were times that i think i actually saw the dirty dishes in the sink moving!!  Laundry was walking on its own, it was crazy, I am sending you lots of love and good thoughts.  Just rest and take care of yourself, lots of luv to you!

Hi Linda,

I'm back....we went on our annual camping trip and had 5 glorious days of family and friends and complete relaxation!  Dutch oven cooking and mother nature and just stress free! Since its far away and in the forest and mountains, no cell service, no internet, no tv...just total gadget free...though the kids did have their IPODS and of course we all had our cameras....LOL.  I even took my laptop so I could keep up my journal writing for a dear friend of mine who also has this horrible disease!!!!

How are you doing?  I think you had chemo while I was gone...I thought of you and wanted to check in.

I need to get motivated this morning and do some laundry and scrub down the motorhome...will take it a moment at a time!

When you get a moment please let me know how you are doing!

Prayers and blessings!
