 Hi Evereyone.  My name is Steve and my wife was recently diagnosed with DCIS Breast Cancer.  She has two masses and as a result we are looking at a unilateral (is that the correct term) mastectomy with reconstruction.  We are in the scheduling stages of everything and are reaching out for support. 

The cancer was detected at stage 0 and the prognosis is great . We are very grateful for that!

We are both 40 years old and have two beautiful daughters (ages 6 and 9).

It helps to think of a positive thought and i hope you took some wonderful photos to put in a frame or slide show for her to view and help her relax when going through all of this. Maybe if at all possible set the pics to some soothing music for relaxation. Something postive and beautiful to look at.

Nice to see a spouse take an active role in this matter and best of luck on raising money for the cure. I wish both of you the best on your journey down this road.
