 I am 44 years young married 21 years to a very special man, he is my best friend and soul mate. I have 2 great kids Jessica 19 and Lukas 15. I was diagnosed with ALH in my left breast in 2/2008. I had my mammogram every 6 months like I was told to do, and this year I was diagnosed with LCIS in my right breast. I had another core biopsy and lumpectomy done this time with an MRI. I also had the BRCA test and I am negative (thank God). I am adopted so I do not know if BC runs in my family. I am having a double mastectomy done with immediate reconstruction. I do not want to keep wondering and worrying not to mention more lumpectomy's and biopsy's. My BC has been caught very early and for this I am truly grateful.

I posted my story on the "bilateral mastectomies" post in the Treatment forum if you are interested in reading it.  I strongly urge the DIEP flap procedure. You get a "free" tummy tuck with it.... LOL.
