RE: In desparate need of advice

  •

Ok girls here is the update on my situation. The friend who is also an advocate for my insurance had a doctor look at my records. He said he believed that they saw something that might be a shadow since they could see it from one view but not another. He said that I should see my OBGYN and request another mamo. and ultrasound. I have the appt. for July 14th...alot better than 6 months. Thanks everyone for the prayers.

I think that you should continue to follow your gut in this matter.  I would definitely have future test run like an ultra sound and a MRI if neccesary.

I know sometimes it is very hard to decide what to do when we are put in these situations.  May God guide you through all of your decisions.

Good for you for getting a second opinion.  I agree to listen to your gut and intuition.  Let us know how it goes after your appointment.

    Blessings,

Ellen don't forget to request a copy of all your reports ie; momogram, labs, etc.  That way you'll have them with you for each new docotr and you wont have to wait on them to be sent.

Good luck girl we'll be praying for you.

    Hugs from Alice

     Hi Ellen,

I agree with Alice on making sure you have a copy of all your records. I wasnt vigiliant as I should have been about getting all copies and keeping them all together.  But due to recent circumstances I felt it was very important to do so. I called the mammogram clinic, my surgeon, both chemo and rads oncologists and requested copies of all my records.

Now I have a complete copy of everything and its all organized in a booklet that I ordered from Cancer101. Someone on the site had recommended the organizer and left a link so I ordered it and its amazing! Its a clear folder type binder and has pockets that are labeled so you can file by pathology reports, research, insurance, bills, etc.  Also came with a a 2208-2009 planner. Well worth ordering!

If your interested the link is www.Cancer101.org and they request a small shipping cost.  However I was told that if you are unable to afford the shipping cost, they will send it to you free of charge.

    Best to you!

Way to be proactive. We shouldn't just take what the doc's say as gospil. We know our own bodies better than anyone esle does. I am proud of you. Good luck with the test, I hope it is nothing.

Good for you for getting a second opinion and following your ggut feeling. Drs. seem to blow of what women say, but who knows our bodies better than us? We know when something is not right!

Keep us updated on what you find out. You're in my prayers! Good luck to you.
