I want to thank you wonderful people who told me to go with my gut. I got a new dr. and on April 8 I had surgery on the breast to remove some of the milk ducts to stop the drainage. Well yesterday I had a recheck with the dr and he said while he was in there he found a 2 cm per cancer cell cyst. he said he removed a little move of my breast then he first told me he would to make sure he got all the area around the cyst.  He is having me do another mammogram in June.  So please ladies go with your gut, as me listening to everyone on here I did and there was something there that they caught early.

I am so happy that everything is going to be alright for you. I always try to go with my instinct as well....although lately I feel unsure about everything.......

I went to the Dr. on Monday and had a diagnostic mammo and ultrsound. The ultrsound tech left the room to go and speek w/ the radiologist and returned after 5-10 minutes. She handed me a piece of paper that had a circle around cysts with instructions to return in 4 years for a mammo when I am 40 years old......I am trying to feel relieved, BUT, I don't. I originally went to the Dr. because I noticed a thickening (if you will)  @9:00 and my nodes under both arm pits were swollen and sore. The Dr. then found two more "masses" @ 5 & 7 :00... and the ultrasound tech took pictures of a "cyst" @11:00. If one is found to be a cyst does that mean all of them are? Am I being rediculous and should just take the good news and run with it? Or should I ask for a biobsy? I don't know.

    What do you think?

    Hi Jinx,

No you are not being ridiculous at all!!!!  I think you need to make an appointment for a second opinion!  You cannot live 4 years with this uncertainty and your "gut" and insticts are telling you just that!!!!

I dont know what area you live in, but I would either get a referral from your family doctor or gynecologist or someone you trust for a breast specialist and go for the 2nd opinion.  I would take copies of all the reports and films from the doctor you were seeing.

Please dont wait 4 years!  Ask around or even go on the internet where there is a site that rates doctors...wish I could think of what the site is called....but regardless let your fingers do some walking in the yellow pages of your phone book and make an appointment TODAY!

Dont put this off!!!!  Please keep us informed as we will be thinking of you and praying for you!!!

I pray for good news for you!!!!  But again get another opinion!!!!

     Jinx,

I think I would opt for a biopsy or a second opinion.  Unless I read it wrong your not suppose to come back for 4 years, thats too long?

    Stay in touch!

Hi Jinx, I agree with the other girls, this needs to be looked at a little more. Is there a breast specialist in your area? Please get that second opinion. Are you sure he said 4 years, that's a long time to have something in your breast. I hope you go for that second opinion. I will keep you in my prayers, please keep in touch with us. We care about all our ladies.
